Thank You, Newport!

My fellow Newporters,

Thanks to you, I was one of the TOP two vote earners in yesterday’s City Council election. 

I am so incredibly humbled and honored to have earned your confidence and I’m looking forward to getting to work. 

As I’ve promised, I will be a Councilor for ALL of Newport and I’m willing, ready, and able to work with anyone who has our City’s best interests at heart. 

The work that lays ahead of us will be difficult —but rewarding — and we will need fresh perspectives and open minds to move forward and achieve sustainable solutions. 

That said, rage, misinformation, and prejudice have no place in our democracy and they are hindrances to tackling the tasks at hand.

Together, I know we can turn the page on divisiveness and those that may seek to tear us apart. 

We must remember, first and foremost, that we are neighbors and neighbors help to build one another up.
